Project Scope

We were brought on board to install eye-catching window graphics around the ground floor units of the building.

With the ground floor units initially vacant at the hub’s grand opening, it was important to screen off the units ahead of fit out works taking place, while at the same time reinforcing the mobility hub’s branding and presence.

It’s a high profile project which has plenty of eyes on it, so it was crucial to maintain a professional look during the interim stage while the building is not fully let.

The Specifics

The Ancoats Mobility Hub is the latest innovative, sustainable transport hub to open in Manchester.

The central neighbourhood of Ancoats is known for being the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution and with this mobility hub it’s maintaining its position at the vanguard of innovation.

The neighbourhood is the recipient of over £40 million investment to transform it into a low traffic neighbourhood; ideal given its close proximity to the city centre making it highly accessible to all the city’s offerings on foot.

So it’s also perfectly placed for this innovative mobility facility, helping to reduce traffic and encourage active travel for residents and commuters.

How?

It provides:

• 150 secure bike spaces
• 102 EV charging points
• 30 car club spaces
• Parcel lockers
• 406 car parking spaces
• 400 rooftop solar panels
• Ground floor health and wellbeing spaces, and a community cycle café.

There’s also a gorgeous 400sqm of living green wall.

The Solution

We installed 150sqm of on-brand window graphics, wrapping around the entirety of the ground floor units which are intended for health, wellbeing and community activities.

This has added visual impact and helped bring the hub’s concept to life.

The Benefits

The Ancoats Mobility Hub is a key part of the future development of Ancoats Phase 3 set within the newly refurbished Ancoats Green and green streets.

It offers parking for residents and visitors, reducing local road traffic, and promotes sustainable transport options.
