COLONY, King Street Manchester
For
Colony
What is it
Manchester city centre’s latest flexible shared workspace, within a Grade II listed building, fitted out to the highest spec, and designed to encourage creativity and the cross-pollination of ideas.

Project Scope
This is the seventh project we’ve worked on for Colony so far since our original instruction in July 2025.
We’ve manufactured and installed two sets of high-level illuminated letters on this Grade II listed building, on the grandiose King Street in Manchester’s city centre. For this one we took to the sky, with our sign fitters abseiling down the side of the building!
It’s the latest of Colony’s workspaces to be fitted out, so we’ve also fixed window graphics at ground floor while the internal fit out works are taking place.
The Specifics
The design team devised a sensitive and careful design, ultimately achieving a fantastic looking final product, before taking the lead on the manufacturing process.
When the fit out at King Street is done, we’ll be back to carry out the internal wayfinding signage inside the 46,000sqft workspace.
Meantime, we’re cracking on with further internal and external works at Colony’s site around the corner on Spring Gardens.
The work never stops for these busy Manchester Colony bees and we’re happy to be supporting them with fast-paced installations!
“The team at SPI is responsive and flexible – which is just what we need with our ever-expanding network of coworking spaces.
Ever the optimists, they work hard to meet our tight timeframes and we know we can count on them.”
