Tattu, Tottenham Court Road, London
For
Tattu restaurants
What is it
A battery-powered illuminated sign solution for this high-end restaurant, sitting pretty at London’s iconic and ultra-modern Outernet Building.

Project Scope
Contemporary Chinese restaurant, Tattu, wanted to showcase its luxury brand with illuminated entrance signs at the Outernet Building on Tottenham Court Road.
But, curiously, our initial surveys picked up that it wouldn’t be feasible to connect an electrical feed to the signs.
An alternative design was needed. It was time to go back to the drawing board and devise a self-sufficient illuminated sign concept.
The Solution
Our design solution incorporated a rechargeable battery wired between the two signs.
With two batteries in play, one battery powers the sign for five days, while the other sits on charge, ready to be used when the first battery is out of juice.
The Benefits
Sometimes the simplest solution is the best.
We saved the client over £10,000 in work that would have been needed to connect the signs to the mains.
The price of two rechargeable batteries was just £500.
