Our senior leadership team has a combined experience of more than 100 years. We design, manufacture and install internal and external signage for a range of contexts including retail units, offices and estates.
Established by father and son, Joe and Joseph Derbyshire in 2024, SPI has moved to a new location at The Mill Industrial Estate to accommodate an expanding portfolio of projects and achieve better operational efficiencies.
We’ve more than doubled headcount to 15 people over the past year, recruiting across production and administration roles, including head of manufacture, Jamie Bell.
More than £130k has been invested in specialist equipment, too.
Plans to add a mezzanine level are already in play and include repurposing the space to create additional front-and back-office space, establishing a temperature-controlled, dust-free environment for the print department and creating a noise-controlled room to house loud equipment.
Director Joseph Derbyshire said:
“This facility is almost six times bigger than our last one and we’re already starting to outgrow it.
“Alongside technological advances in design and production, we’ve noted increased demand for more bold and creative briefs and that’s been driving new and innovative installations.
“We’ve got big plans for the business and it’s going to be an evolutionary 18 months, which is something we’re all looking forward to.”
