Typical lead time

Built up letters are typically manufactured and installed within 2 to 3 weeks of artwork approval. If you are working to an opening date or a handover, tell us and we will plan the programme around it.

Fixed properly

Letters are fixed on concealed locators or stand off fixings, set out with a full size template so the spacing on the wall matches the approved drawing exactly. Externally, we use fixings suited to the substrate and check the wall before we drill, with fixings pull tested where the design calls for it.

See it before it is made

Before anything goes into production, we show you visuals of the lettering on your building at the right scale, and physical samples of the finishes where you need them. Nothing is manufactured until you have approved it.

Planning, handled

Illuminated external lettering usually needs advertisement consent. We check at survey stage and handle the application for you, including OS location plans, elevations, illumination data and conservation area consent where it applies.

Based in Manchester, working across the UK

We are based in Bolton and install lettering across Manchester, Greater Manchester and the North West every week. We also install nationwide, including multi site rollouts where the same lettering needs to go up at every branch or office.

Questions we’re often asked

Which material is best for built up letters?

Stainless steel and aluminium for exterior and high end work. Acrylic for interiors, where it gives a crisp edge and can be painted to any colour at a lower cost.

Can built up letters be illuminated?

Yes. We make non illuminated, face lit, halo lit, edge lit and resin filled lit letters, and combinations of them. Illuminated external letters usually need advertisement consent, which we can handle for you.
