Southway Housing Trust
What is it
An external fit out for this Manchester-based housing association’s HQ, to showcase its new visual brand.

Project Scope
We’re supporting Southway Housing Trust with the rollout of its new visual brand across its estate.
First up: its headquarters in south Manchester.
Sitting in a prominent spot on Princess Road, one the main vehicular routes Manchester, Southway Housing Trust’s HQ gets thousands of eyes on it every day.
So, with its visual brand and new logo updated to better reflect the brand, it was especially important to update key gateway and high-level signage on the building.
The Specifics
We re-wrapped various existing signs, applying laminates over existing graphics where possible to deliver the site-wide rebrand as cost-effectively as possible.
All in all, the external site refit included:
- Digitally printed and matt laminated graphics applied to both sides of the existing totems at the site perimeter and main vehicular entrance.
- Vehicular entrance signage repositioned to improve visibility from the slip road.
- A replacement high-level building sign using 3D built up non-illuminated, powder coated letters.
- A replacement entrance sign at the building foyer using laser-cut acrylic lettering on matt laminate wrapped foamex.
- Replacement site wide signage for visitors to complete the rebrand.
Installing high level signage on a constrained site often brings logistical challenges and this one was no different. But with a Z45, we were able to navigate the site and get the job done.
The end finish is fresh, clean and a real upgrade for the site.
Next up, we’ll be heading over to their eight other sites over the next month, to continue the estate-wide rebrand.
The team at SPI showed their commitment to our project, even working into an evening to make sure the job was finished to the best standard. We’re really happy with how smart our HQ site is now looking and our brand is looking fresh
